Guilt-ridden, he is driven to overcompensate with his patients. The Accident touches upon the Metoo movement and the Opioid crisis, issues of today in a non-preachy way.
Unlike authors who have signed with a traditional publishing house, I pay all my production costs up front. That means paying a cover designer for both an eBook and print cover, a formatter and an editor to make the content professional looking, and ordering paperback and hardcover stock for signings and as rewards for this Kickstarter. I write fiction, mainly suspense-thriller mysteries. The Accident is my 6th self-published book. I have burned bridges, failed to plan for the future, and lost a lot of money in the stock market.
I have put in the time, over 10, hours and my writing has been well-received. I have been writing for several years and had literary agents when my writing was not yet developed. Now, when I can compete with the best, I still get rejected by agents. Am I discriminated against because of my advanced age? High praise indeed.
I'm happy to have Glendon Haddix at Streetlight Graphics. He has designed a brilliant cover, done the formatting, and will be creating graphics. We need to do a print run for the paperback to reward the backers, get a copywrite, and pay fees and taxes.
That gets the book off the ground but does not include marketing and advertising. Hopefully, our generous backers will see the need and exceed our goal to provide funds for this also. The Crosscurrents prize and the reader reinforcements suggest that your support will be rewarded. Producing something of value is its own reward, but it should also command a monetary return.
I need your help to take it off the digital shelf and convert it into something you can hold, whether on Kindle or paperback. I don't have the funds necessary to send it for a full print run on my own. Make your donation now! It's so excitng. A movie being made on Symi!
Hope lots of people can contribute even small amounts to help this project off the ground. Symi is a beautiful island and if the film goes ahead will bring in some much needed money to both locals and ex-pats living on the island.

Ooh it's getting so close to target, but so close to the deadline too! I do hope this goes ahead, may be a real boost for the economy of Symi! The financial target has been met and the film will now go ahead on Symi. Thanks and congratulations to all concerned. It will be splendid to see this beautiful island showing up at the Oscar ceremonies and the Venice Film Festival The Judas Curse is a wrap!
I so look forward to see the finished film. Some of the photos on the Symi Dream blog have been super. It has been lovely to follow the progress of the filming and see so many familiar Symi faces both as actors and behind the scenes!

Filming a thriller in Symi news. Watch this Topic. The survivors on Isabella Island are surrounded by death, and need to get off the island before the flu can claim them, too, but how can they without enough boats to get everyone to safety? Ben Bowerman's search for his girlfriend, Martina Gable, takes him to the only place left he thinks she can be. When he gets there, he's hurled into the unexpected, where he begins to see the truth of what is really going on. And in an idyllic town covered by a blanket of snow, all is quiet.
Except for the rotating squad of soldiers who watch and wait for a problem they believe becomes more and more unlikely as each day passes. The world, after all, is quickly depleting. But they are wrong. The Project Eden saga has already garnered over 5-star reviews.
